The University team won the second and third prizes in the finals of the China University Team Programming Competition
This year, the finals of 6th China University Team Programming Competition were held online and offline. Wenzhou University hosted the offline sessions for Southern Zhejiang Province. Four teams representing WZU with Chen Weibin and Hu Mingxiao as the instructors from the College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence participated in the competition. Among them, WZU Team 1 won the national second prize with the score of 2003, the record-high for our university. WZU Team 2 won the national third prize, and WZU Team 4 won the provincial third prize. Those results are seen as the milestone achievement for our university.
The China University Team Programming Competition was sponsored by the Higher Education Computer Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and other institutions. It plays an important role in improving students' programming ability and exerts huge influence. The competition was attended by 347 colleges and universities from 30 provincial-level administrative regions across the country, and 10,946 students from 1,100 teams joined this event.
The College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence of WZU is responsible for team selection, training, and event organization in Southern Zhejiang Province. The competition has improved students' programming skills and the ability of using computers to analyze and solve problems. It also contributed to entrenching students' teamwork, improving their overall development, enriching the academic atmosphere, and promoting the exchanges and communications between universities.
